First, remove any distractions. Turn off the TV, close any windows on your computer other than the one you're writing in, etc. Then set a timer for 10 minutes and just TYPE. Write out whatever's on your mind -- you can be listing out some blog topic ideas, it could be the start of an actual post, or just a stream of consciousness. For me, it's much easier to edit something than to write something from scratch, so as soon as I give myself something to edit, the writing becomes easier. Good luck!

First of all I would like to say great blog! I had a quick question which
I'd like to ask if you don't mind. I was
curious to find out how you center yourself and clear your thoughts prior
to writing. I have had a difficult time clearing my thoughts
in getting my thoughts out there. I do enjoy writing but it
just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are usually lost just trying to figure out how to begin.
Any suggestions or hints? Appreciate it!

I know this if off topic but I'm looking into starting my own blog and was wondering what all is required to get setup? I'm assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I'm not very internet savvy so I'm not 100% sure. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers

@ Robert Clay - To put the badge in your Wordpress sidebar, first upload the image to your server. Make note of the image location (if you use an easy uploader plugin, it will tell you the source of the image). I use http://wordpress.org/extend...

Then in the admin section go to Design --> Widgets and add a text widget (where you can put arbitrary text or HTML). Then enter this:

Change the ALLCAPS parts accordingly, and save your changes. Hope this helps!

Also possibly having some read, "follow us" instead of "follow me" would be helpful as well...
